Q. What is the minimum age requirement?
A parent or guardian is required
to take the class along with a child under the age of

South Carolina CWP is minimum 8 hours per SLED. We generally run
about 9 hours.
Basic and Intermediate Handgun
Classes are five hours.
Basic Handgun Two class is three hours.
Advanced Handgun class is three hours.
Basic Shotgun class is three
hours.
Basic Rifle class is three hours.
All class times include 30 minutes for lunch.
Q. Are there types of ammunition that cannot be used
at the range; How much does ammunition cost at
the range?
Bring
only fresh factory ammunition for the gun you use. No reloads or
hand loads:
only new ammunition from a major manufacturer. When
there's a choice between ammunition
labeled "target" or "personal protection," choose
"target" for our classes unless we say otherwise. It's less expensive
and works just as well as more powerful ammunition. All ammunition must
be in
fresh factory boxes just as you bought it. Do not bring old, corroded
ammunition and do not mix or repack any ammunition. Bring 100 rounds to class. That
way you won't run short, can take
advantage of opportunities to practice, and return home with the
excess. It
won't spoil.
Ammunition
is NOT available for purchase at the range.
